2017 Kia Niro Super Bowl Commercial
If you tuned into Super Bowl LI on Sunday night, we hope you loved Kia’s Super Bowl commercial! If you were too busy picking squares or chowing down on some wings, we’ve got you covered. The new spot stars the hilarious Melissa McCarthy and the new 2017 Kia Niro as they set out to save the planet. McCarthy quickly discovers being an eco-warrior is not as easy as she thinks, but her 2017 Kia Niro certainly makes it a whole lot easier. “Gateway to the Adirondacks”
If you grew up around Plattsburgh, NY; Burlington, VT; Lake Placid, Malone, or Queensbury, NY, you might remember Frontier Town in North Hudson, NY. This western theme park once drew thousands of vacationers each year, but since its closure in 1999, it has become an abandoned ghost town. New York State is looking to change all of that by making the 300-acre property the site for “Gateway to the Adirondacks,” a new tourist destination for the area! The Governor announced that the state will be investing $2.8 million dollars into the site to create jobs and attract visitors from all over the country.
Gateway to the Adirondacks will include:
- Interactive exhibits in historic structures highlighting the past, present, and future of the Adirondack forest products and local food industries
- Adirondack craft beer experience at Paradox Brewery
- A campground and day use area along the Schroon River
- Adirondack Park Visitor Information Center
- Event center with tourist accommodations
- Equestrian camping and trail riding area
“The Gateway to the Adirondacks will be a world-class tourism hub at a strategic location to attract new visitors to the Adirondack Park and drive economic growth in the North Country,” Governor Cuomo said. “The Master Plan, developed with key community partners, builds on our comprehensive efforts to protect the Adirondack Park while attracting tourists to experience the wide array of outstanding recreation options this region has to offer.”
This project isn’t set to begin until 2019, but we at DELLA Kia are very excited about what it might bring to the area!

Winter Car Clean
Our DELLA Kia customers are no strangers to the harsh winter months in Plattsburgh, NY; Burlington, VT; Lake Placid, Malone, and Queensbury NY. With the streets and roads covered in salt, snow, and dirt, it seems inevitable that our vehicles will be too. While “road junk” can be a nuisance and make your vehicle look unattractive, that’s not all it’s capable of. Road salt, snow, and dirt can mix with the air’s moisture to accelerate the rusting process. Check out our four tips below to helping your vehicle survive the winter!
Winterize with Wax – An affordable and simple solution to protecting your vehicle from the harsh winter debris is adding a layer of wax. The wax will act as an extra protectant against salt, snow, and dirt.
You Missed a Spot – Road salt tends to collect behind the wheels, quarter panels, and front grille. Because of this, it’s the first place rust tends to start. Make sure you’re checking and cleaning these areas regularly.
Wash It Down – Washing your vehicle in the winter may seem a little odd, or you might just think it’s a waste of time. But it pays off big in the long run. However you choose to wash your vehicle – by hand, with a power washer, or at a car wash – make sure you’re doing it as often as every other week. Also, be sure that the temperature is above freezing when you do wash it. Otherwise, you’ll be driving around a frozen popsicle!
Switch It Up – Winter can wreak havoc on the interior of your vehicle as well. To protect your floors from the salt, dirt, and snow you’re bringing in with you, buy some custom fitted rubber mats. Also, if you’re tired of scraping ice off your windshield, drain your windshield wiper fluid and add some de-icing fluid. So go ahead, sleep in an extra 10 minutes!

2018 Kia Stinger Wins EyesOn Design Award

The all-new 2018 Kia Stinger has been in the public eye for barely two weeks, and it’s already winning awards! Shortly following its debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show, it was awarded the EyesOn Design Award for Production Car Design Excellence! This award honors the best concept and production vehicles who made their debut at the 2017 NAIAS. There are many categories including Concept Car, Production Car, Concept Truck, Production Truck, Innovative Use of Color/Graphics/Materials, Interior Design, User Experience Award, and Designer Catalyst. As previously mentioned, the 2018 Stinger picked up the coveted Production Car award.
“We’ve made a lot of great cars and I’m proud of all of them, but the Stinger is something special,” said Peter Schreyer, Kia Motors’ chief design officer.

The website’s annual awards show showcases all-new or redesigned vehicles that excel in quality, innovation, and value. The all-new 2017 Kia Sportage, which is the fourth generation of the vehicle, was chosen as the Best New Compact SUV of 2017! Not only is the all-new 2017 Sportage an IIHS Top Safety Pick+, it offers a more contemporary design, spacious interior, and dynamic performance.

Introducing the 2018 Kia Stinger
2018 Stinger
We know our customers have been patiently waiting for more details about the Kia GT Concept, and DELLA Kia is happy to announce that the production model has finally debuted at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit! The five-passenger fastback sports sedan will be called the 2018 Kia Stinger and will be the highest-performance production vehicle in Kia history.
The 2018 Kia Stinger will make its road presence known to everyone with an eight-speed rear-wheel transmission and two available turbocharged engines. Drivers can choose between the standard 2.0L Turbocharged Four-Cylinder Theta II Engine (255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque) and the available 3.3l Twin-Turbo V6 Lambda II Engine (365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque).
The Stinger radiates confidence and athleticism with a tiger-nose grille, LED headlamps, front air curtains, four exhaust pipes, and smooth underbody. Inside the cabin, drivers will enjoy a seven-inch haptic touchscreen equipped with UVO, next-generation QuantumLogic™Surround Sound Technology, Head-Up Display, Smartphone Charging Pad, and Bluetooth® Hands-Free Operation. They’ll also be protected by a host of safety technologies like Integrated Autonomous Emergency Braking, Advanced Smart Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
