It’s finally Halloweekend! We know you might be heading out to a Halloween party or hayride, but if you haven’t yet made plans, DELLA Kia has put together a special treat for you. All you need is your New Kia from DELLA Kia and a sense of adventure! Below is our list of scariest places to visit around Plattsburgh, NY; Burlington, VT; Lake Placid, Malone, and Queensbury, NY. Grab your friends and family and head out for this haunted road trip!

Our first stop on the list is none other than our very own SUNY Plattsburgh Macdonough Hall in Plattsburgh, NY. You’ve probably heard about some of the strange things that have occurred in this dorm over the years. Residents have reported a number of strange occurrences including toilets flushing, radios, alarms, and lights turning on for no reason. Some people have even claimed to see ghosts roaming the halls, and explain the connect by the fact that the hall was built on marshland. During its construction, the remains of a woman along with her gravestone were found.

If you love legends and folklore, you’re going to love this next stop. St. Albans, VT is home to the St. Albans Bay State Park where ghost pirates have been spotted traveling on a phantom ship. The pirates, who are allegedly searching for Champ, the legendary creature who lives in the bay, often call out to nearby fishermen.

Next up is the Gold Brook Covered Bridge in Stowe, VT, also known as“Emily’s Bridge. ” There are multiple stories of how Emily did. Some say she hung herself from the rafter after her fiance didn’t show up for their elopement, while others believe she was run over by horses. The truth remains to be uncovered, but one thing is for sure, Emily’s spirit lives on. Visitors have heard screams and scratching, and some have even reported seeing her walking about.

Now is the perfect time to head over to American Flatbread in Burlington, VT for a bite to eat. While you’re chowing down, you can chat about how this was previously called Carbus Restaurant, and a former employee killed himself in the basement. Yummy! The basement is apparently still haunted, and employees are warned to enter at their own risk. Several employees have been locked in the walk-in freezer, which can slam shut with no explanation at all.

For your final stop, head over to the Plattsburgh Airforce Base, which is both haunting and historic! Ghost children along with a soldier from the Revolutionary War and a lady in white have been spotted multiple times on the grounds. You can also check out the Old Gym, which was used as a morgue during the war. Visitors have heard screaming and pounding at the location. There’s even a red basement, which is said to be painted that color to cover up blood stains.
